What are we looking for in School Councillors?
We are looking for students who:
- Are good workers in class.
- Play fairly and well in the playground.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Get on well with other children.
- Show responsibility and reliability.
- Set a good example for others.

What do School Councillors do?
- Set a constructive and positive example to other students in terms of behaviour, attitude and work habits.
- Assist with monitoring and managing behaviour in the playground.
- Identify students participating positively in the playground, e.g. playing well, solving problems, caring for others, removing litter.
- Present awards at syndicate and whole school assemblies, as appropriate.
- Assist with the running of syndicate and whole school assemblies.
- Assist with the running of class / syndicate / school events, e.g. discos, sports days.
- Survey classes for ideas and opinions to bring to Council meetings.
- Represent the school at community functions and events.
